Hi Reese,
Your speech was very clear and articulate. You did a great job of explaining the significance of your retainer and how it relates to your passion. Your eye contact and composure are amazing. One suggestion is to try to incorporate a more conversational feel into the speech, which is something I need to work on as well. I really liked your speaking style and this speech!
You had a great speech Reese! I loved your story about why a simple retainer is important to you. You chose an object that many people take for granted, and you were able to convince your audience (or me at least) that a retainer is significant! I would love to see your final speech have more emotion, it is challenging to talk to a computer screen as if it were a natural person. I struggled with this a lot as well, but I think with more practice we will all improve our ability to talk to a camera as if it were a real person. Great job on your first draft though!
I really liked your speech! I loved how you didn’t make is very obvious what your object was at first so it was kind of a curveball when you pulled out the retainer. I also thought it was great how took an object that most people wouldn’t of and showed how it personally significant to you and even helped you realize that you wanted to be an orthodontist, that is super cool! Overall, I thought your speech was very clear and it is a really good rough draft.
I thought that was good. It was so cool when you said how they had helped inspire you to be a vet. I thought the object was awesome, and maybe just try to tell a little story about the dogs (if you can) that way the audience can feel even more connected. I thought it was really good tho
This is a really good rough draft, I liked how you can totally tell how personal the object is to you and I thought the setup of your speech was very well done. If I had to give one note, I think it would be good to maybe spend more time of the speech incorporating more memories you have of the dogs but either way it was still a great speech. I really like how you wrapped it up in the end and talked about how your childhood dogs led you to want to be a vet.
Hi Julienne,
You seem like such a natural and confident speaker! I really liked how your speech came off as a casual conversation and your voice and message were clear. The only adjustment I’d suggest is making it a little bit more concise since it was slightly over the time limit. Your speech was so great and I loved the whole message.
Hi I definitely felt how meaningful and important Cookie is to you! You spoke confident and well and I thought your points were great. I would just maybe try and erase some of the “um” but that is sort of me nit-picking. overall good job
I loved the objects you choose! Your speech clearly described why the pawprints were meaningful to you. I love how you mentioned they were your inspiration for wanting to become a vet. I would love to hear you speak with more enthusiasm! You told us how much these pawprints meant to you, make sure we can feel your emotions too! Overall you spoke very clearly and intelligently, great job!
